Heartbreak For Faithia Williams As She Loses Mother
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress Fathia Williams is grappling with a devastating personal loss.
Just hours before celebrating her 55th birthday, she lost her beloved mother a tragedy she was unaware of until after her party.
Fathia had chosen to host her birthday celebration on Sunday, although her actual birthday fell on Thursday, February 5. Her family, hoping she could enjoy the milestone without sorrow, kept the heartbreaking news from her until after the event.
“Dear friends, it was my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5. However, I chose to have a party yesterday, Sunday,” she shared.
“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party, and the news was cruelly kept away from me.”
The actress described her mother as her constant source of support, friendship, and spiritual guidance, highlighting the immense void left by her passing.
“The reality of her passing has not totally dawned on me because she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner wrapped in the invaluable gift of a mother,” Fathia wrote.
While she did not reveal the cause of her mother’s death, Fathia noted that the family is handling the situation privately for now, appealing for prayers and understanding.
“Whilst I have taken solace in Allah (SWT), the Williams’ family has decided to keep things very private for now. Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period. Burial details will be announced later.”
Fathia Williams now faces her 55th year shadowed by grief, holding on to memories of a mother whose love and guidance shaped every part of her life. In the midst of celebration, sorrow has made its quiet mark, leaving fans and well-wishers sharing in her deep heartbreak.
