<h4>Halima Abubakar Sues AGN President&comma; Seeks N3billion Damages<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that popular actress and philanthropist&comma; Halima Abubakar has taken legal action against the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria &lpar;AGN&rpar; Emeka Rollas&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Recall that on 17 October&comma; 2024&comma; Rollas released a statement on his social media handle&comma; purportedly claiming that Abubakar has been suspended indefinitely from the AGN&period; The statement claimed that Abubakar was &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;behind the most slandering information on members &lpar;AGN&rpar; especially news of extra marital affairs linked with highly placed individuals in the society which emanates from the industry&&num;8230&semi;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Halima Abubakar said she was baffled by the allegations because she never received any calls or questions from AGN until she saw the news of her purported suspension on social media&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Meanwhile&comma; in response&comma; the solicitors to Abubakar&comma; P&period;D&period; Pius &amp&semi; Associates in a letter dated 20 October&comma; 2024&comma; noted that the false narrative by Emeka Rollas was &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;to deliberately paint Abubakar in a bad light&comma; cast aspersions on her&comma; denigrate her and stir up social opprobrium against her&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;You are well aware that our client has been battling with her health for years and despite professional relationship&comma; you chose this delicate moment of recovery for our client to push your negative and false narrative about our client in order to arrest her health recovery process&comma; cause her emotional and psychological pain and damage her reputation before right thinking members of the society&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;You should immediately takedown the publication and tender an unreserved public apology to our client via your Instagram page&period; Cease and desist from any further false publication against our client&period; Pay the N3 billion to our client for damaging her reputation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Note that unless you comply with the above demands within 7 days&comma; we have our client’s instructions to take appropriate legal action against you&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;
