Group Rejects VP Slot For Peter Obi

OpenLife Nigeria reports that a pro Peter Obi group known as ‘Peter is Better’ for Presidency in the 2023 general election has rejected a Vice Presidential slot being proposed for the Anambra State former governor.
In a statement signed by Emeka Ezechi and made available to OpenLife, the group says it remains committed to it slogan that Peter Obi is better and would double everything humanly possible, within the law, to ensure that Obi emerges Nigeria’s democratically elected President in 2023.
The statement reads in full:

The news reaching us states that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, is considering Peter Obi as his running mate at the event that he wins the PDP primary election.

Let it be clear that our team is not aware of such discussion or arrangement. We are totally not in tandem with that. We are aware that the Atiku Abubakar team are finding a way to trend and decided to call on the name of our aspirant, Peter Obi. We are not oblivious of the fact that the best way to trend politically in Nigeria is to use the name of Peter. Our aspirant is the best and most popular politician in Nigeria today for the best of reasons.

Peter Obi did tremendously well in Anambra. He brought Anambra from the abysmally retrogressive state to a trajectory of progress in terms of education, health, road construction, human capital development, economic development and so on.

PDP has the best chance in winning election by adopting Peter Obi. It is only a favour that will be done to the PDP if they field our aspirant as their presidential candidate. He had a proven track record of performance based on competence, probity, accountability and integrity. No wonder all surveys conducted so far have favoured Peter Obi as the best that must win in order to rescue Nigeria from the abysmal economic, security and negative parity that has been bedeviling Nigeria.

Our group, Peter Is Better – 2023, is on the position that our aspirant is better positioned to redeem Nigeria through becoming the president of Nigeria. Anything out of the presidency is not good at all considering the fact that it is naturally a Southeast O’clock, and Peter is Better. We are appealing to Atiku Abubakar and other presidential aspirants of the PDP to step down and support Peter Obi for President. We are also pleading with all the delegates to help in enthroning quality leadership by voting Peter Obi as the PDP presidential candidate. Nigerians are earnestly waiting to elect Peter as the President of Nigeria come 2023.
