Governor Umo Eno Lambasts Akwa Ibom Citizens Over Telephone Calls
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom state has come hard on the citizens of the State over telephone calls.
The Governor, during a church service made it clear that it is not compulsory that he picks calls from citizens of the State.
He clarified that he is not a “Receptionist” who answers calls.
Speaking during the monthly Covenant Service held at Banquet Hall of the Government House, Uyo on Sunday March 1, 2026, Governor Umo Eno maintained that it is an insult on his person for citizens to complain of not picking their calls.
Governor Umo Eno said:
“Stop saying the governor does not pick phone calls. Am I your receptionist? That is even an insult.
“Who are you that I should pick your calls? Who is even talking?”
Further, Governor Eno aims dig at John James Akpan Udo-Edehe over video on oil wells brouhaha.
Eno stated that the 62 years old Senator who represented Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District at the start of the Fourth Republic on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a content creator to earn a living.
“He is creating content to make money from google,” Governor Umo Eno said.
