Governor Sheriff Oborevwori After My Life
OpenLife News reports that former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has raised an alarm over what he described as “disturbing and increasingly credible threats” to his life and family in Delta State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday he pesonally signed, Omo-Age said the threats are emanating from the Delta State Government House, Asaba.
The former lawmaker, who is also the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, said he is making the declaration as he begins his campaign tour, starting “today in Uvwie Local Government Area and across the other seven LGAs in Delta Central.”
He called on Nigerians, the international community, civil society organisations, the media, and security agencies to take formal notice of the development.
“As I commence the campaigns, beginning today with stops in Uvwie Local Government Area, and the other seven (7) Local Government Areas, I want the Nigerian public, the international community, civil-society organisations, the media, and all security agencies to take formal notice:
“Should anything untoward happen to me or members of my family, the Nigerian people and more particularly the Urhobo people of Delta Central senatorial district should HOLD the Governor of Delta State, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, responsible and accountable.”
Appeal To Security Agencies
Omo-Agege urged security agencies to be on alert and ensure the safety of all political actors as campaigns commence across the state.
He reaffirmed his commitment to engaging voters across Delta Central and delivering his message of representation and development to the Urhobo people.
I note with grave concern the disturbing and increasingly credible threats to my life and my family members in Delta State emanating from the Delta State Government House, Asaba.
