According to a statement signed by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to Katsina State Governor and sighted by OpenLife, a steering committee has been inaugurated by the governor to develop an enabling law based on the National Policy for IDPs.

“The committee will meticulously examine the National Policy and Action Plan for IDPs to ensure our proposed law effectively addresses their needs,” Governor Radda said during the inauguration.
“Our goal is to create a draft law that will be submitted to the State House of Assembly for legislative action,” the governor added
Governor Radda expressed appreciation to the World Bank for its initiative in addressing the challenges faced by IDPs.
He highlighted the project’s focus on livelihoods, infrastructure improvements, and facilitating the return of IDPs to normalcy.
