Former Governor Godwin Obaseki
OpenLife Nigeria reports that an elder statesman and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Chief Robert Clark, had described the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, as a top public office holder in Nigeria who does not have human feelings.
Chief Clark who is in his 80s stated this Friday morning on Arise TV while responding to issues on the redesign Naira notes and it’s attendant scarcity.
Responding to governor Obaseki’s alleged statement to the effect that he is not affected by the new Naira notes scarcity, Clark said Obaseki’s view is “Naive.”
“He should go and think well. Is it because he is spending government’s money,” he asked rhetorically.
Further, the SAN lamented the state of things in Nigeria saying that the Supreme Court judgement on the Naira scarcity remains a good judgement that ought not to have been challenged by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami on the grounds of jurisdiction.
Clark argued that when a principal is sued, there is no need to include the agent.
“I am disappointed in the Attorney General of the Federation. He is my son,” he said
