<h4>Governor Abiodun Talks Tough On Tax Returns</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has issued a note of warning to Tax Agents in the State to file their 2023 Annual Tax Returns before the deadline as there will not be extension of the due date.</p>
<p>According to the Executive Chairman OGIRS, Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye who gave the warning in a release from his office in Abeokuta, Tax Agents were expected to statutorily file their 2023 employees Tax returns on or before 31st January, 2024.</p>
<p>The warning disclosed that failure to file the Tax returns within the time frame would attract a penalty of five hundred thousand naira only.</p>
<p>He enjoined them as responsible citizens to carry out their civic responsibilities as expected to enable the government deliver on its electoral promises.</p>
