Government Is Right By Arresting Nnamdi Kanu—-Pastor Lanre-Oke

Government is right

Pastor Femi Lanre-Oke, president and founder of Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministries International, says in this interview with OpenLife’s Staff Writer, Isaac Ngumah, that arresting Nnamdi Kanu, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB leader, by security agents is the right step in the right direction

Kanu’s arrest

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB leader’s arrest, well I think, is on order.
Everything is being done according to law to checkmate excesses.
I am not against the federal government’s decision in doing that because if that is not done we can have a major crisis in the country.
So, I think starting from there is a good way of managing crisis that is steaming up in the country. So, it is in order.
Can the arrest trigger more protests?

I don’t think it will. Now is caught and reprimanded. He is ready for persecution. Therefore, if his supporters come up with anything different. they can also be arrested.
This act by the government will put things in order. I don’t think it will bring any protest.

Clampdown on Sunday Igboho

My opinion on Sunday Igboho is different. I don’t think that is an appropriate approach. I think the DSS was not civil enough in that approach. Probably, they would have come up with an invitation and if he had refused, then, they would apply force.
I think they should have found a way to go about other than what we see trending on social media.

Separatists’ Mission

Nigeria is one. There is no need for any other country.

Constitutional review

We need the constitutional review urgently. The truth is that even the constitution is not followed to the letter. It is used to the advantage of people in power. It is not used to help the general mass. We must live in harmony with one another.
A new constitution may not be needed but a review of the existing one will be good.

Kidnap of Bethel Baptist students

It is just part of the insecurity and it is quite unfortunate that we are having it again in Kaduna.
If the president has lost their grip on governance, then, we should help him to be proactive. We should also report everything that is suspicious around us.
Church unity

Of course, that is essential there is no other time than now we need o come together unite as one body not only to pray but to take steps, take responsibility rather maiming the government, we should take responsibility and act accordingly.
