General Bashir Magashi tasks promoted officers on higher commitments to the nation

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Major General  Bashir Salihi Magashi&comma; ret’d&comma;  the Minister of Defence has tasked newly-promoted officers on professionalism<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The Minister made this remark after performing the ceremonial decorations of two newly promoted officers in the Ministry&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">He&comma; thereafter&comma; reminded the officers that promotions are sufficient encouragement for more dedication to national duties&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"> In addition&comma; Magashi sued for commitment to military duties&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The officers are Lieutenant Commander Osahon Junior Osagie and the Platoon Commander&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;punchng&period;com&sol;">Ministry of Defence<&sol;a>&comma; Provost Company&comma; Captain Fausilat Bukola  Salami<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">He told the newly decorated officers to see their elevations as wake -up calls to higher responsibilities in service to the nation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"> Magashi added that the promotion is a foundation rank in their career progression&period; &&num;8220&semi;As a <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng">Commissioned<&sol;a><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;"> Officer in the Nigerian  Army<&sol;a>&comma; we saw promotions as foundational rank in our career progressions&period; That prepared us for generalship&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">He emphasized professionalism as watchword which requires total commitments&comma; loyalty  and respect for seniority in the discharge of assigned duties&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"> In his remarks&comma; Principal  General Staff Officer to the Minister&comma; Brigadier General Auwal Fage&comma; tasked the officers on ethics compliance&comma; hard work and integrity&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Sab&&num;8217&semi;iu Zakari&comma; the  Permanent Secretary in the Ministry also admonished them to carry out their duties with fears of God&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">&&num;8220&semi;Justify your <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;guardian&period;ng">promotions<&sol;a> through enhanced initiatives and robust service delivery to the Nigerian Armed  Forces&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"> Lieutenant Commander Osagie remarked&comma; on behalf of the newly decorated colleague&comma; that the promotion would motivate them to do more&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Osagie expressed loyalty to the Commander-in-Chief of the   Armed  Forces&comma; President Buhari&comma; and thanked General Bashir Magashi for his supports&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Directors and other senior officers in the Ministry witnessed the decoration ceremony&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">On the other hand&comma; family members were also available to felicitate with the promoted officers&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
