OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has left fans deeply moved after sharing a powerful moment from his past a visit to the very house where he once worked as a painter before fame changed his story.
The Yoruba movie star took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of himself on the job years ago, revealing that life brought him back to the same house recently, this time as an actor on a movie set.
The emotional weight of the moment, he said, was too much to hold back.
According to Adeniyi, he once stood in that house unnoticed, working with his hands to survive.
Today, he returned as a celebrated star, surrounded by admiration and requests for selfies a sharp contrast that moved him to tears.
Reflecting on the drastic turnaround, the actor described the experience as proof that perseverance, faith, and God’s grace can completely rewrite a person’s story.
In his words:
“I went to shoot in the same house where I was a painter, and I couldn’t control my tears!! I was there as a slave and now as a king.
Everyone wants a selfie.
The green line is pointing at me!!
That was me year 2000/2001, when I was a painter!
The story has changed today, and God is glorified!
Na who give up fuck up o.
Keep the faith alive!
God’s is good.
Thanks to my friend who sent his on WhatsApp!!
He isn’t on IG”
