<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that Florence Ajimobi, Ambassador-designate and widow of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has declared that the 2027 general election will be fiercely contested in the State, describing the upcoming polls as a “war” and insisting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “must go”.</p>
<p>Ajimobi, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, made the declaration in a viral video on social <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">media</a> while addressing journalists at a political gathering, where she expressed confidence in her party’s readiness to challenge the PDP at both the state and federal levels.</p>
<p><em><strong>“We’re going to war in 2027. It’s going to be a head-on war. PDP must go. Whatever they want to do, whatever tricks they want to try, all power <a href="https://openlife.ng/">belongs to God</a>, but we are going to beg God and we are going to fight them,”</strong></em> she said.</p>

<p>Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Florence Ajimobi was the First Lady of Oyo State in Nigeria from 2011 to 2019.<br />
Born in Benin on the 5th of April 1959 to the renowned Hajaig family of Lebanon, she started her educational sojourn at the Bodija International School, Ibadan before proceeding to Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Ibadan.</p>
<p>She later studied Management at the Polytechnic Ibadan.</p>
<p>Mrs. Ajumobi started her career at Femi Johnson and Co, a leading Insurance Brokerage Firm and went on to work at Insight Communications and RT Briscoe, before taking the brave decision to leave the safety of paid employment to embark on her own retail business.</p>
