In these challenging economic times, it’s easy to overlook the most vulnerable among us – the widows and their children, struggling to survive. Salvage Widows, Fatherless & Aged Missions (SWIFAM), led by Bishop Derek Ehizele, is taking action.
The Challenge
The economic downturn has hit hard, and widows are among the hardest hit. With limited resources and no financial support, they struggle to provide for their children. It’s time for us to step in.
Widows Food Bank: A Call to Action
SWIFAM is launching the Widows Food Bank, a crowd-sourced food contributory project. We’re not asking for money; we’re asking for foodstuffs. Your monthly contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of these families.

The Launch
Starting from the Southwest, we aim to reach out to widows across the country. This December Monday the 23rd, 2024, we’re hosting 500 widows, regardless of tribe or creed, at the Glory Auditorium, Akinfala Street, UI Agbowo, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Sustainable Empowerment through Agriculture
In partnership with a foreign agricultural firm and the host state government through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, we’re establishing a modern farm to:
1. Produce foodstuffs for local consumption
2. Export produce to attract foreign currency
3. Provide profitable employment and training for young widows in modern farming systems
This initiative will not only ensure food security but also create economic opportunities, enhancing the livelihoods of these families.

Their children will receive training in various vocations, including:
– Robotics
– Artificial Intelligence
– Web Development
– Software Engineering
– Bricklaying
– House Painting
– Tiling
– Confectionery
– Catering & Hotel Management
