Fidelity Bank Honours Beauty Entrepreneurs
OpenLife News reports that Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to the Nigerian beauty industry and women-owned businesses with its headline sponsorship of the Beauty in the Motherland 2026 commemorative dinner and awards.
The exclusive dinner, held on October 6, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought the curtains down on the three-day Beauty in the Motherland exhibition with a celebration of creativity, enterprise and impact.
This year’s edition drew over 3,000 attendees and more than 300 exhibitors across skincare, haircare, fragrance, cosmetics, wellness and lifestyle value chains, cementing its place as Africa’s largest beauty showcase.
Anchored by media personalities Nancy Isime and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, the dinner convened entrepreneurs, industry leaders, investors, creatives and beauty enthusiasts. The night was capped with an electrifying performance by Afrobeat star Yemi Alade.
Highpoint of the evening was the presentation of a Special Recognition Award to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, for her leadership and the Bank’s consistent contribution to the growth of Beauty in the Motherland and the broader beauty enterprise ecosystem in Nigeria.
Receiving the award, Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe said Fidelity Bank’s sponsorship of the programme for a third consecutive year underscores its confidence in the potential of the African beauty industry.
“The African beauty industry is vibrant, innovative and increasingly global. At Fidelity Bank, we will continue to help entrepreneurs acquire relevant knowledge, access finance, reach new markets and build sustainable businesses,” she said.
The recognition also spotlighted Fidelity Bank’s expanding role in supporting an industry largely powered by women and young entrepreneurs.
Beyond sponsorship, the Bank provided on-site business support, serving as the exclusive Point-of-Sale provider for the event. Exhibitors and shoppers were onboarded to its innovative solutions including Fidelity POS Instant Settlement, PayGate Plus and SME-tailored accounts, driving seamless collections and accelerating digital payment adoption.
Fidelity Bank Plc representatives also engaged entrepreneurs with advisory on financial management, business growth and access to finance.
Organisers of the event, Beatrice Obinna Eneh and Linda Edozien, said Beauty in the Motherland was established to celebrate and advance the human and natural resources driving Africa’s beauty industry, with a long-term vision to strengthen industry structures, empower entrepreneurs and expand market access.
Through platforms such as the Fidelity SME Hub, Fidelity Quarterly Business Forum, SME Masterclasses, HerFidelity and FundHer, the Bank continues to provide financing, capacity building, business advisory, digital solutions and market linkages to small businesses.
The success of the 2026 dinner and awards ceremony reinforces the importance of celebrating the entrepreneurs, professionals and institutions shaping the future of beauty in Africa, a future Fidelity Bank is proud to be powering.
