<p><strong>The <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Federal Government</a> on Wednesday said the request by the <a href="http://Openlife.ng">United States (US)</a> for the extradition of embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Abba Kyari</a>, over fraud links is “still being processed”.</strong></p>
<p>Speaking at a briefing which held after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Abubakar Malami</a>, restated that he did not exonerate Kyari neither for his charges of illegal drug business, or money laundering in respect of Ramon Abass, commonly known as <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Hushpuppi’s</a> matter.</p>

<p>Malami, while speaking on the extradition request by the US government concerning embattled DCP Kyari, rued what he described as a misconception of issues.</p>
<p>The AGF, who argued that the request was still being processed by the authorities, said there exists a general misunderstanding created around the issue by the media.</p>
<p>He implored Nigerian newspapers to endeavour to always get a grip of the facts to avoid creating confusion.</p>
