OpenLife gathers that the estranged wife of Nigerian footballer, Odion Ighalo, Adesuwa Sonia, has celebrated her birthday with mysterious lover in a luxurious resort in Maldives.
Maldives, officially the Republic of Maldives, is an archipelagic country in the Indian subcontinent of Asia, situated in the Indian Ocean. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 750 kilometres from the Asian continent’s mainland.
Recall that in January 2020, the ex-Super Eagles forward and his childhood sweetheart turned wife, Sonia, deleted their photos from their respective Instagram pages, furling speculations of their marriage crisis. Since then, both have not been seen together and have neither shared each other’s photos as they ceased celebrating their wedding anniversary. They even went as far as pulling off their wedding bands. Following which Sonia reverted to her maiden name, “Adesuwa”, on social media.
Their face-off just of late reignited when Sonia subtly called out Ighalo, via her post, for allegedly welcoming two babies now from two different women and purportedly refusing to pay child support.
Taking a swipe at him in the process, while congratulating him on the birth of his baby from another woman, Sonia however maintains her position as his legal wife. According to Sonia’s Instastories in pidgin and English, “Congrats Ighalo on the arrival of your baby (Feb) I just dey receive court email now lmao. We don many. Ah Father Abraham. Still one legally married wife. 2baby mamas 5kids and some slay queens still dey fight to enter. Y’all dey ment. Adesuwa baby, you are doing well.”
