Estonia President, Kersti Kaijulaid and Tony Elumelu, Chairman United Bank for Africa, UBA, proffer solutions to COVID-19 Pandemic Socio-Economic Problems
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the President of the Republic of Estonia, Kersti Kaijulaid and Tony Elumelu, Chairman, Board of Directors, United Bank for Africa, UBA, rubbed minds at an online summit for solution to Africa’s endemic socio economic problems.
At the summit, Tony Elumelu who is the founder of Heirs Holding, a multi purpose investment vehicle, externalized the pandemic challenges and offered solutions amongst which was employment generation and capital investment for infrastructural renewal.

“Last week, our Founder, Tony Elumelu, joined the President of the Republic of Estonia, Kersti Kaijulaid, at the online cross-continental hackathon, themed, ‘EU Africa the Post Crisis Journey’. The event sought to find innovative solutions to socio-economic problems that have been further escalated by the outburst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the conference, our Founder spoke on the importance of bridging the digital divide made prominent by the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, he highlighted the impact of the Tony Elumelu Foundation in addressing the digital gap.”
