Engineer Dave Umahi Is A Genius In Infrastructure
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos has added his voice to the numerous commendations received by the Minister of Works, Engineer Dave Umahi on account of his outstanding performances in the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government.
In this interview, Chief Aguene advises Engineer Umahi not to be derailed by sycophants because his chances of leading Nigeria soon are bright
Sir, opinions in the public space speak well of Engineer Dave Umahi for his on-going performances as Works Minister. As an Ebonyi man yourself, how do you react to that public opinion?
Well, I thank God for giving us such a man like Engineer Dave Umahi from Ebonyi State. I admire him so much especially for what he did in Ebonyi State as a governor.
He constructed and reconstructed almost all the roads in Ebonyi State which made Ebonyi State the fastest growing in Nigeria.
Before he emerged as a governor, everybody knew how Ebonyi State was. There were no signs of developments.
Before then, whenever I wanted to travel to Ebonyi, I will be thinking about how my white clothes would turn red as a result of untarred and dusty roads especially as white clothes are my favorites.
At that time, some people from Ebonyi State were denying that they are from the State. Some were claiming Anambra and Enugu States because of the low level of development. But Umahi changed all that and Ebonyi State became the state to reckon with in Nigeria.
Today, people who are not from Ebonyi are proud to claim Ebonyi as their state of origin because of what Dave Umahi did.
Now, when President Bola Tinubu appointed him as Works Minister, I was so happy.
I was not happy only because he is an Ebonyi man . I was happy because I know that nobody can do better than him in Nigeria at the moment in that position. Engineer Dave Umahi is tested and confirmed.
Now, what advice will you give Engineer Dave Umahi?
My first advice is that he should hold God firmly.
Second, he should avoid those who will come to blackmail people before him in seeking favour.
Thirdly, he should not inherit the enemies of anybody close to him. He should always find out the facts before joining any fight no matter how close the person is to him.
Fourthly, he should not match the toes of those he feels he is superior to because his future in Nigeria is very bright. It will not be a surprise to me if he becomes the President of Nigeria in future because of what he has done already and still doing.
Some of these points I just mentioned are what killed the potential of some leaders that are supposed to be greater because they did not adhere to them. Examples are leaders like Saddam Hussein of Iraq, Mobutu Seseseko of old Zaire, Idi Amin of Uganda etc.
I have no doubt that Engineer Dave Umahi is going to lead this country one day. One other good thing about Engineer Dave Umahi is that he has been using same phone number since I knew him as PDP chairman in Ebonyi state till date.
And anytime any body calls him, he always picks.
Whether he will help or not but he will pick if he is not in a meeting no matter the level of that person. That is a huge encouragement.
Above all, why I am giving him this advice is because of the level of love I have for him because I don’t want any thing that will stop him from leading this country as President in the nearest future. This is because he has the capacity to lead. Nobody knows the size of God but He is the ultimate.
