Popular Nigerian female Disc Jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh better known as DJ Switch, has debunked reports that she was granted an asylum to Canada.

Recall that the sensational DJ made the news after she streamed lived the shooting that happened at Lekki Toll gate in Lagos State on October 20, 2020.

After that, reports said DJ Switch sought the asylum by fleeing Nigeria to Canada after several attempts on her life after the killing of peaceful #EndSARS protesters in Lekki.

Taking to her Instastories on Sunday, September 26, the entertainer who was signed by Peter Okoye as his personal disc jockey in 2017 said she never stepped foot into Canada and the reports are false.

” To the people who know me well, I don’t really share except my craft, art and comments on social issues that affect us all. But let me say this, news outlets and bloggers, I know traffic is the game, but when you don’t really investigate properly and run with things that you don’t know for sure or have verified, you sincerely hurt and in some cases cause serious complications for people in real life”.

Switch revealed she has been hiding in a house and is now leaving the country but not to Canada.

“I’ve been cooked up in a house for months. I never got asylum to Canada. I did not step foot into Canada. I didn’t even speak to anyone who claimed they spoke to me on the issue. Anyways, I will leave it there.
By the way, it is now I am traveling and it’s not to Canada. Love”, she wrote on her Instastory.
