Edgal resumes as Ogun State CP

&NewLine;<p>The new&NewLine;Commissioner of Police in-charge of Ogun State Police Command&comma; Edgal OLuwole&NewLine;Imohimi has officially resumed duty at the State Police Command headquarters&comma;&NewLine;Eleweran&comma; Abeokuta&period;&nbsp&semi;The Commissioner who&NewLine;arrived the headquarters at about 11am was received by members of the Ogun&NewLine;State police management team led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge&NewLine;of operations Department&comma; Edward A&period; Ajogun&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;According&NewLine;to the Police Public Relations Officer&comma; &nbsp&semi;Abimbola Oyeyemi&comma; the CP in &nbsp&semi;his maiden address to the management team&comma; directed&NewLine;that all policemen serving in Ogun State should return &nbsp&semi;to their duty post from wherever they maybe as&NewLine;there is going to be physical head count of all the personnel attached to the&NewLine;Command&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>He also ordered&NewLine;the cancellation of all forms of leave be it casual or annual leave&comma; except&NewLine;&nbsp&semi;in emergencies&comma; because all hands must be on deck to checkmate the&NewLine;activities of hoodlums especially during the ember months and yuletide season&period;&nbsp&semi;The CP&NewLine;promised to deepen and institutionalize the strategy of community policing and&NewLine;community safety partnership to reduce crime in Ogun&comma; in line with the&NewLine;objectives of operation puff-Adder&period;<br>&NewLine;On August 30&comma; 2017&comma; Edgar Imohimi was appointed&NewLine;Commissioner of Police in-charge of the Lagos State Command&period;<br>&NewLine;The appointment followed his promotion by the&NewLine;Police Service Commission &lpar;PSC&rpar; from Deputy Commissioner of Police&comma; DCP&comma; in&NewLine;charge of Operations&comma; in Lagos State to full Commissioner rank&period;&nbsp&semi;He succeeded Commissioner Fatai Owoseni in Lagos State<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A&NewLine;1984 graduate of Art of the University of Jos&comma; &nbsp&semi;Edgar was enlisted into the Nigeria Police&NewLine;Force&comma; as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police&comma; on February 2&comma; 1986&period; He served&NewLine;in various commands and formations within the country in several capacities&comma;&NewLine;spending most of his days at the Lagos State Police Command&period; He&NewLine;went on to bag a master degree in Public and International Affairs at the&NewLine;University of Lagos in 2004&period; Edgar is highly trained on Community and&NewLine;Intelligence Gathering Policing&semi; he organised the first Community Policing&NewLine;summits in Ikeja GRA&comma; Lagos State&period;<br>&NewLine;He has served as the Divisional Police Officer&NewLine;of Shomolu Police Division&comma; Seme Police Division&comma; Ikeja and Surulere Police&NewLine;Divisions&comma; between the year 2003 and 2011&comma; as a Chief Superintendent of Police&comma;&NewLine;CSP&comma; before he was promoted and appointed the Assistant Commissioner of Police&comma;&NewLine;ACP&comma; in-charge-of the Area A&comma; Command&comma; Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
