DPO Heaps the failures of the society on parents

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Divisional Police Officer,DPO, of Agbor Police Headquarters, CSP Rex Enweliku, has attributed the decay in the society to lapses on the part of some parents.

Mr Enweliku made the assertion when members of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ika South Chapter led by Comrade Christian Izegede paid him a courtesy call at his office in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area.

He noted that most parents have failed in their roles as molders of characters.

“Some will venture into criminality and use their parents’ names to register such properties and they will not and complain until the chips are down, they will start claiming innocence.

“Imagine a 19 year that does not work and he is worth millions. They are not conscious of the evening seasons of life, they are only after the now” he added.

Even as the DPO heaps blames on parents, he  urged youths to continue to make themselves marketable in a bid to occupy leadership positions.

“If the youths refuse to rise, the status quo will continue to the detriment of our future as a people” he said.

While charging youths not to allow anyone hijack their unity, he said that there was no better way to securing our society without synergy.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria Ika South Chapter, Comrade Izegede said that youth council remained the apex youth group in Nigeria and that they were poised to create a peaceful atmosphere for growth and development.

He noted that Delta State Youth Council is at peace, saying that aggrieved members had sheathed their swords.

“We are organized and united; there is no faction among us,” he stated.
