Doyin Okupe reacts as Peter Obi appoints new campaign DG

<p><strong>Labour Party &lpar;LP&rpar; Chieftain&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;Openlife&period;ng">Doyin Okupe<&sol;a>&comma; has reacted to his replacement as the Director-General &lpar;DG&rpar; of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign council &lpar;PCC&rpar;&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A former presidential aide&comma; Akin Osuntokun&comma; was named the new DG of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Okupe resigned on his own accord last week after he was convicted by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court in Abuja on December 19&comma; 2022&comma; for violating the Money Laundering Act&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;labour-party-appoints-new-campaign-dg-photo&sol;">Peter Obi Appoints New Campaign DG &lpar;PHOTO&rpar;<&sol;a><&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p>The court said Okupe was guilty of receiving over N200 million cash from former National Security Adviser &lpar;NSA&rpar;&comma; Sambo Dasuki&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The court held that Okupe was guilty in counts 34&comma; 35&comma; 36&comma; and 59 and sentenced him to two years imprisonment with an option of a fine&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a post shared on Twitter&comma; Doyin Okupe seemed delighted over the appointment of Akin Osuntokun as the new DG&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Doyin stated that Oshuntokun has been a committed as well as a foundation member of the Peter Obi presidential ambition&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He wrote&colon; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;<em><strong>I received the news of the appointment of my brother bossom friend&comma; strong ally &amp&semi; confidant&comma;Prof Akin Oshuntokun&comma;as the new DG of the LP Obi-Baba Ahmed campaign organisation&period; Oshuntokun has been a committed&amp&semi; foundation member of this great movement frm d start&period; I wish him well&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
