Apostle Anselm Madubuko, the apostolic leader and founder of Revival Assembly Ministries International (The New Anointing), has advised Nigerians against fraternizing with satan in the quest for fame and wealth, saying it is the surest path to destruction.
The renowned Apostle gave this admonition at the 2020 edition of the Legends of Nollywood Awards which held on February 15 at the Banquet Hall of the National Theatre, Lagos. The theme of the awards event was Film Making and Nation Building.
“Don’t partner with satan for fame and money. Always ensure that Jesus Christ is on your boat in all your endeavours because when the storm comes and Jesus is with you, you will not sink,” he stated.
Nollywood star and convener of the awards, Paul Obazele, stated that but for Apostle Madubukor, he would have given up on several projects where he later achieved success. He describes the Apostle as his mentor who is always there for him when it matters most.
He extended his thanks to Eco and Sterling Banks including Nabal Foods and Intercontinental Distillers for their corporate sponsorship and supports.
The 2020 edition had 109 physically challenged graduands who received certificates after two weeks of training in script writing, editing, production management etc at the National Institute of Sports, Lagos.
Amongst those who received awards were Nollywood stars, Segun Arinze, Francis Duru, Hilda Dokubo , Jide Kosoko and other veterans.
In his remarks, Honourble Minister of State for Budget and National Planning who was the guest speaker emphasized the pivotal role of Nollywood in strengthening national unity. He disclosed that stakeholders in the film industry will be inculcated into the national development Plan for an all inclusive growth. Among other top dignitaries in attendance was Senator Dino Melaye.
