Delta Youth Commissioner Commends Governor Okowa

<p><strong>Delta Youth Commissioner has commended <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;okowa-okorodudu-congratulate-uduaghan-at-66&sol;">Governor Okowa<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;"><strong>OpenLife Nigeria <&sol;strong><&sol;a>reports that Delta Youth Development Commissioner&comma; Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga&comma; has commended Governor Okowa for policies towards youth developments&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Comrade Egwunyenga gave the commendation at a town hall meeting organised to engage youths in the state at Unity Hall&comma; Government House&comma; Asaba&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The governor had approved an interactive session for youths in the 16-Councils in Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking at the meeting&comma; Egwunyenga emphasized the place of youths in the social and economic development of the country&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He said that the meeting was organised as a fallout of the youth agitation&period; The Commissioner stressed the need to motivate youth to positively play a part in nation-building at this critical period&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The meeting had representative from <strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;access-bank-offers-interest-free-n50-billion-loans-to-mitigate-covid-19-and-endsars-effects&sol;">&num;ENDSARS<&sol;a><&sol;strong> group and a member of the judicial panel of enquiry&comma; Mr Harrison Ewamnishu&comma; representative of Aniocha&sol;Oshimili Ethnic Nationality&comma; Mr Austin Okorodudu&semi; representative of Ika Ethnic Group&comma; Comrade Marvin Enyosa&semi; representative of Ndokwa Ethnic Group&comma; Mr Anslem Nzete&semi; representative of Community Youths of Aniocha&sol;Oshimili&comma; Mr Felix Eboh&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Others are the representative of civil society organization&comma; Elder Okezie Odughala&semi; representing female advocacy group&comma; Mr Benedicta Apuama and the representative of the student community&comma; Comrade Ufuoma Ehorhihe&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They lamented the high rate of police brutality on youths&comma; the non inclusion of youth in the decision process as regards nation-building&comma; nonrecognition for youth at grass root levels&comma; as well as the little percentage of women representatives in government&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They called on the state government to include the youths in its activities&comma; as well in the decision making of the state government as it related to youth development&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They nevertheless commended some of the developmental strides of the state governor&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
