<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rising from its 52nd Regular meeting, the Nigeria Customs Service Board, NCSB, has announced the elevation of 2, 633 officers and men to strengthen its man power for effective and result oriented operations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Board, has as its Chairman Hajiya Zainab Ahmed who equally serves as Nigeria Honourable  ;Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Customs, Deputy Comptroller  ;Joseph Attah,  ;stated that the board  ;approved the appointment of five Assistant Comptrollers General of Customs and  ;promoted  ;2,634 other officers to various ranks.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The statement added that ACG Aminu Dahiru was dismissed for act of serious misconduct while ACG Bashir Abubakar was compulsorily retired for act of negligence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Among those promoted is Mr. Adewale Adeniyi, former spokesman, who is currently Commandant, Nigerian Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The newly promoted Assistant Comptrollers General of Customs are: ACG, Mohammed Boyi in charge  ;Training and Coordination,  ;Adewale Adeniyi, Commandant Staff College, Gwagwalada, Jack Ajoku in charge Strategic Research and Policy,  ;Olakunle Oyeleke in charge  ;Doctrine, Development and Administration and  ;Emmanuel Edorhe of ; Zone C including others.</p>
