Crises in Delta PDP
OpenLife Nigeria reports that at the moment, crisis is brewing in the ruling party of Delta State, Peoples Democratic Party,PDP.
Just recently, governor Ifeanyi Okowa was said to be very uncomfortable with the dual loyalties of some members of the party.
More worrisome was the apparent disloyalty of some of his appointees.
So uncomfortable was the governor that he was said to have met the former governor of the State, James Ibori for intervention and requesting “to call the boys to order.”
That move, OpenLife learnt, has not engineered the needed peace in the party.
It was on account of that disloyalty that the governor on Thursday, December 31, terminated the appointment of his Executive Assistant (Communications), Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe.
The termination was anchored on his reckless penchant and unbridled insubordination to periodically attack the person and administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa publicly, through calculated and disingenuous blackmail.
The sack was contained in a letter issued by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
More aides, believed to be sympathetic to the opposition All Progressive Congress,APC, are already penciled down for sack early 2022, OpenLife was reliably informed.
