<h4>Court Remands Journalist Over Falsehood On Buratai<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>OpenLife Nigeria reports that a court sitting in Kano State&comma; presided over by Justice Halima A&period;B&period; Wali&comma; has sent one Ibrahim Khalil Danshagamu&comma; a self acclaimed internet blogger on remand in the correctional center over defaming and tarnishing the good image of a former Chief of Army Staff &lpar;COAS&rpar; Lt&period; General Tukur Yusuf Buratai &lpar;rtd&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Danshagamu&comma; who is the defendant&comma; was dragged before the said court over allegedly sharing a video footage on his social media&comma; where he claimed that the plaintiff&comma; built over 60 filling stations in Kano out of the arms deal proceeds&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Following sharing the said video footage&comma; the plaintiff who is the former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin&comma; directed the police to fish out the defendant to investigate the claims&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>After the police arrested the defendant&comma; he denied the charges against him and Barrister Farida Wada took the case before the said court&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Counsel to the defendant&comma; Barrister S&period;A&period; Abdullahi prayed that the court grants bail to his client&comma; which the presiding judge objected on the grounds that the defendant&&num;8217&semi;s offence contravened sections 371 and 115&comma; as the said offence&comma; can lead to three years imprisonment&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The judge also ordered that the defendant should be sent to the state&&num;8217&semi;s psychiatrist to diagnosis the defendant&&num;8217&semi;s brain whether he was in his actual sense&comma; when he shared the said video footage&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The counsel to the plaintiff&comma; Barrister Hussaini Makari while speaking to newsmen shortly after the court sitting&comma; said that his client has also thrown a challenge that if the defendant or any Kano State based citizen can point out any filling station belonging to him&comma; he is ready to withdraw the case against the defendant&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Similarly&comma; the counsel to the defendant&comma; S&period;A&period; Abdullahi declined comments when journalists approached him&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
