“Conscience No Dey Put Food For Their Table” – Actor Prince Eke Blasts Nigeria Celebrities

OpenLife reports that Nollywood actor Prince Eke has criticised several Nigerian celebrities, accusing them of prioritising personal gain over speaking out against corruption and poor governance in the country.

In a post on Instagram, he said, “The earlier you understand that most of these so-called celebrities are not worth being influenced by, the better for you.”

He didn’t mince words about the motives behind their silence. “Actors and musicians alike watched Nigeria drown in corruption and bad governance and kept their mouths shut.

Why? Because they are waiting for politicians to throw them a few peanuts to come and dance during campaigns,” Eke added.

The actor also questioned why so many stars struggle today instead of benefiting from past successes.

“If Nigeria actually worked, many of them would still be earning royalties from movies they acted in decades ago. But instead of demanding a working system, they line up to be used by the same politicians destroying the country.”

And for anyone shocked by celebrities standing beside corrupt leaders, Eke gave a blunt reality check:

“Many of them are broke, desperate, and perfectly willing to sell their conscience to the highest bidder. After all, conscience no dey put food for their table.

Clearly, Prince Eke is obviously afraid to shake up the entertainment industry and call for accountability even if it ruffles feathers.
