Excerpts

Tell us about your projects and experience in construction and project management.
We have executed over 60 projects across Nigeria for individuals, government agencies, corporate bodies and oil companies, covering residential, commercial and institutional buildings.

What drives your dedication and commitment to the construction industry?
My vision is to build a construction company that becomes a household name in Nigeria.

An efficient, productive and reputable brand known for quality and reliability.

How do you help clients achieve their dreams?
We start by having a detailed memorandum of understanding of what the client truly wants. We help them translate their desires and vision into reality by making them understand both the visible and invisible aspects of construction, so they appreciate the value we deliver.

What are your core policies?
Safety is our motto and our policy. We guarantee safety in all our construction operations, for our workers, our clients and the environment.

What services do you offer?
We offer:Construction Project ManagementTurnkey Project DeliveryRemodeling and RenovationBuilding Construction Equipment RentalProject Conceptualization and Planning

How many years of experience do you have?
I have over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.

What are the major challenges you face in the industry?
The industry is plagued by quacks who parade themselves as engineers, unskilled manpower, and many failed projects. The operating environment in Nigeria is also very challenging and not conducive for standard practice, which is why we are working to make it better.

Why did you establish a construction firm?
Beyond building, we are passionate about training. We train graduates, artisans, and industrial training students.

We have built a team of professionals with a vision to raise a skilled workforce that can make Nigeria compete effectively on the global stage.

How do you provide solutions for your clients?
We help clients turn their dreams into reality by guiding them through the entire economics of construction — what it will cost, how to finance it, and how to execute it. We deploy seasoned professionals to manage the process from start to finish.

Do you have a real estate arm?
Our real estate business is currently in the pipeline and will be unveiled soon.

What is your coverage across Nigeria?
We have crossed many boundaries. Today, Conifer Konstruktion is well known and has executed projects in Lagos, Anambra, Abuja and beyond.

What is your formula for smarter, secure, transparent and stress-free construction?
It starts with a clear vision of where you are going and what it will take to get there. We maintain continuous communication with our clients to manage expectations and proactively provide solutions to problems.

How do you handle high-cost construction and help clients build securely?
Construction is not about cost, it is about value. When a client understands the value of what he wants, we deliver that value at a fair market price. We don’t compromise on value.

Tell us about your strategic investments.
We invest in people and in systems. We also partner with other industry players. That is what has made us outstanding.

What drives your emphasis on safety, comfort and transparency?
Our drive is to have a standard construction industry. Safety goes beyond accidents and hazards; it includes protecting employees, preventing manpower loss, and ensuring all safety measures are in place. We take it very seriously.

How do you ensure longevity and resilience of your projects?
Longevity is determined at the design stage. A project can be designed to last 20 years or 100 years — the longer the lifespan, the higher the cost. It ultimately depends on the client’s budget and vision.

How effective is your project delivery?
Our delivery effectiveness rate is 96%. We deliver on time.

What are your expectations from the government?
We need fair policies and an end to policy somersaults. One government comes and starts a policy, another comes and abandons it.

That does not encourage stability. Tax laws should be clear, and government should look into the multiple unrecognized levies charged by states and local governments.

How would you describe your growth?
We started in 2013. In the last 13 years, the company has grown immensely. I rate our growth at 100%.

What is your contribution to the Nigerian economy?
Our contribution cannot be overemphasized. We create jobs, train manpower, and deliver infrastructure that drives economic growth.

How do you see competition in the industry?
The market is segmented. We have our own market segment and we compete effectively within that segment by focusing on quality and transparency.
