<h4>Concerned APC Youths Create Upset<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that a major crisis has erupted within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress&comma; APC&comma; over what some groups tagged as lopsided appointments while berating the party for allowing a party leader hold two appointments where other members continue to languish in penury&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A group within the party&comma; under the umbrella of &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Concerned APC youths” in a statement signed by its spokesperson&comma; Tunde Awolumate&comma; in Ibadan on Thursday&comma; described the development as not only unfortunate&comma; but greedy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu&comma; recently released a list of fresh appointments of about 70 party faithful&comma; whereby Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle was nominated as the Executive Director&comma; Commercial and Environmental Department for the South West Development Commission&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Before today’s nomination&comma; the group said that the fresh nominee&comma; Ibikunle was the Chairman&comma; National Lottery Regulatory Commission&comma; NLRC&comma; during the eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The group further said that Ibikunle was also recently screened by the Senate as a member of the Code of Conduct Bureau Commission&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This has led to serious grumbling and complaints of greed by party leaders and members&comma; thereby accusing him of using his closeness to the top hierarchy of the party to confuse the President in acting wrongly&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Said the group&colon; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;From Oke-Ogun to Ogbomoso&comma; Oyo&comma; Ibarapa and Ibadan&comma; there are complaints galore as to why a person would get two juicy&comma; big appointments while hundreds are yet to get anything&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;This is a classic case of greed as groaned by an old progressive from Oyo<a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;"> town<&sol;a>&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;This raised questions on why a particular leader could be given two appointments while some were yet to be recognised&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We have no apology for APC’s naivety in handling political matters&comma; because the party is suffering from the consequences of greed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;This calls to question the capacity&comma; experience and skills of APC leaders on political matters and we have no apology whatsoever for their naivety&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The APC&comma; particularly in Oyo state is merely suffering the consequences of the greed&comma; lust for power and inordinate ambitions of its leaders&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We have gradually turned ourselves to a laughing stock in the face of the ruling party in the state as they describe us as being excessively thirsty for power and this calls for concern&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Indeed&comma; the party&&num;8217&semi;s disdain for democratic norms&comma; rule of law and sanctity of the party&comma; coupled with its excessive thirst for power portends grave threat to our survival and calls for serious concern among the party in the state&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
