Combating Corona Virus: US based Association donates PPE to Ahafo Region

&NewLine;<p>Following the outbreak of Corona Virus pandemic which has become a major threat to Ghana and the world at large&comma; many have been subjected to untold hardship while millions are perishing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>This has necessitated the good people of Ahafo&comma; Bono and Bono East&comma; who are living in the United States of America &lpar;USA&rpar; under the auspice of&nbsp&semi; Brong Ahafo Association of North America &lpar;COBAANA&rpar; to&nbsp&semi;&nbsp&semi; donate nose mask&comma; sanitisers and other PPE to the region&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A statement sourced from Francis Agyapong&nbsp&semi; Nimpong revealed that the leader of the delegation&comma; Mr Paul Gyau presented the items to Hon&period; Evans Opoku Bobie&comma; the Minister&comma;&nbsp&semi; Regional Health Director and other health officials represented&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-large"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;04&sol;Ahafon-2-1024x767&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-3061"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The first term member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency who doubles as the first ever Ahafo Regional Minister&comma; Hon&period; Evans Opoku Bobie received the items on behalf of the region&period; He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;Like Oliver Twist &comma; he appealed to all philanthropists to support the region at this time of the pandemic stating that proper measures have been put in place in combating the Corona Virus in the region&period; He added that all the major towns and villages within the region have received their share of the earlier items distributed by the region&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The PPE will be given to the various health facilities within the region&comma;’ he stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Meanwhile&comma; the hardworking president of the Republic of Ghana&comma; His &nbsp&semi;Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been commended locally and internationally for his total commitment on the fight against Covid 19&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-large"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;04&sol;Ahafon-1&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-3062"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The Government of Ghana&comma; through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in fraternisation with Zoomlion have disinfected all the nooks and crannies of this Country&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The free distribution of veronica buckets&comma; tissue papers&comma; hand sanitisers&comma; liquid soaps etc are will go a long way to helping the people&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
