Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa applauds Sanwo-Olu for youth advocacy

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa has applauded <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">governor Babajide  Sanwo-Olu<&sol;a> of Lagos State for youth advocacy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The Nigerian chapter of the NGO stated this in a press release on Tuesday&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa is  a non-governmental organisation that focuses on good governance advocacy in Africa&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The NGO said Sanwo-Olu has set the pace for other governors in managing the protest to end police brutality&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Sanwo-Olu had deployed administrative machinery to maintain peace in Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;nytimes&period;com">Country Director<&sol;a> of the NGO&comma; Mr John Mayaki in a statement said&comma; &&num;8220&semi;Firstly&comma; we doff our hats to the bravery of the youths in Nigeria&period; We are also encouraged by the steps they have taken to secure their lives and future&period; Governor Sanwo-Olu has conducted himself democratically so far in the protests to end police brutality&period; He has diligently and continuously interfaced with the protesters to calm things down&period; It is regrettable  that the Police have continued to visit several dimensions of violence on the harmless youths&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">&&num;8220&semi;We also find it laudable that the governor has refrained from demonstrating any high-handedness or excessive use of force as the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;guardian&period;ng">youths<&sol;a> air their genuine concerns&period; We therefore&comma; urge other governors to emulate the style and openness he has so far displayed&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
