Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant on Niger Delta

Citizens lambast Buhari’s aide, Ita Enang, over de marketing statements on radio

Citizens across of Akwa Ibom State have lambasted Senator Ita Enang over what they called de marketing statements on a radio programme.

The citizen registered their grievances on Saturday, September 26, during a phone-in radio programme in Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital city.

Citizens felt that statements made by Enang, President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Niger Delta Affairs, were de marketing in content and scope.

One of the callers, Engr Ubok-Abasi from Ibiono, chided Ita Enang for his incessant criticism of the present administration. He wondered why Ita Enang chose the State’s 33rd celebration as the best time for verbal wars and outbursts. Ubok-Abasi challenged the former Senator  to point at one thing he has achieved  for the State in his official capacity.

Rather than join efforts  with state leaders to fast rack  Akwa Ibom’s development, the caller frowned at Enang’s  demarketing mindset. The act, he emphasized, was detrimental to the progress of Akwa Ibom.

CALLERS LAMBAST

Another caller, Iboro Etim, recalled Ita Enang’s and other APC leader’s several petitions against Governor Udom Emmanuel’s developmental initiatives. He wondered how the antagonists hoped to bring about development, progress and unity by such attitudes.

Mkpat Enin, another caller, expressed bitterness at Ita Enang’s pathetic outbusts. He recalled how he bit Senator John Udoedehe’s fingers over similar anti State attitudes at the 2019 APC primaries. He further accused him of being a womanizer. The callers unanimously lambasted Enang’s constant satanic outbursts. “Even if the intension is to generate sympathy for 2023 governorship, it is a wrong step in the right direction.

“If he’s going for Governor, he should use the conventional channel of communication to reach the people. He should not hide behind radio programmes to belittle the government “, he said.

The citizens  also recalled how   Ita Enang used the Calabar-Itu road project as a campaign strategy to win election but failed to deliver on his promises afterwards.

“Ita Enang should eschew bitterness and join hands in celebrating the state like others are doing.

Akwa Ibom people know his mischievous tricks and cannot be deceived by his constant rants”, Mkpat Enin  said.

Meanwhile, Ita Enang is rumored to be very interested in the 2023 governorship election. Strong sources confirmed that he is already in plans to defeat his opponents, particularly, Udoedehe.

He also contested the Niger Delta Ministerial  job slot with Godswill Akpabio but failed. Back then, he had argued that he stood better chances for the slot than Akpabio.
