Chinese billionaire died on Christmas day of suspected poison
OpenLife Nigeria reports that a Chinese billionaire who was the chairman and founder of Yoozoo Games, Lin Qi, has died of suspected poison on Christmas day, December 25.
The news of his death shocked the entire board of directors in his company and the Chinese community.
The game tycoon was 39 years old.
The Police, OpenLife Nigeria gathered, are currently investigating the cause of the untimely death of the late hard working billionaire.
Authorities say, in a statement that they were first alerted to a suspected poisoning on December 17.
OpenLife online medium further learnt that he was recuperating rapidly two day after he was admitted into a hospital for “physical discomfort.”
At the moment, OpenLife learnt that “A colleague of Lin’s, a 39-year-old man with the surname Xu, has been detained in Shanghai.”
Police said Xu was “suspected of committing a major crime.”
Lin’s company, according to report, is a leading mobile game publishers.
Its revenue is said to worth about $1 billion ($6.8 billion Yuan.
Founded in 2009, Yoozoo is known for the 2019 role-playing title “Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming.” After turning his attention to film production in 2014, Lin bought the rights to the Chinese sci-fi novel “The Three-Body Problem,” with Yoozoo Group securing a deal with Netflix to adapt the book into a television series produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss of “Game of Thrones” fame.
