OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his second year in office as President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Equally, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos President felicitates with governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Lagos and Ebonyi States respectively on their 6th and 2nd years in office.
The democratic anniversary was celebrated across Nigeria on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Chief Aguene, in the same breadth, congratulates Engineer Dave Umahi, former governor of Ebonyi State now Minister of Works for delivering excellent road construction and rehabilitation jobs in the Tinubu’s administration.
While Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogbonna Wilfuru became President of Nigeria and Ebonyi State governor in 2023, Babajide Sanwo-Olu marked his 6th year in office on Thursday having been sworn in 2019 as Lagos governor.
In a statement he personally signed, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos President noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governors Sanwo-Olu, Wilfuru and Minister Umahi are doing well in their respective democratic assignments.
“We have no regret voting for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu and Wilfuru. They are all doing well. We can only encourage them to do more for the people.
“The appointment of Engineer Dave Umahi by President Tinubu as Works Minister reflectes theleadership skill of Tinubu in getting the right people to do the job.
“Umahi is not disappointing at all. The 700 kilometre coastal highway and other mega projects he is executing across Nigeria are testaments of his ability and capacity to deliver on any assignment.
“As Ebonyi State governor, Umahi did wonders for the State where I come from and we are all proud of him,” Aguene stated.
Chief Aguene who just returned into the country after a successful Investment And Art Exhibition Tour In Europe And South America, also parised governor Sanwo-Olu and Francis Nwifuru for creating enabling environments in their respective states for business to grow.
“I just returned from Europe and South America for investments and Art Exhibition and I can tell you that with what President Tinubu and my friend, Sanwo-Olu including my state governor, Francis Nwifuru are doing, Nigeria’s economic prosperity is assured.
“What we need to do as citizens is to continue to support and pray for them to succeed more than they have achieved,” Aguene stated.
Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos had embarked on Investment and Art Exhibition tour across Europe and South America.
The art exhibition took off in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina on Saturday night, May 24,2025.
According to Chief Solomon, the art collectors who came from different parts of the world were amazed at the type of master piece art works which the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos President displayed at the hall during the exhibition.
Chief Solomon was endorsed during the exhibition of one of the most famous European artist from Malta, Joseph Barbara in his exhibition.
On Monday, May 26, 2025, after the Argentina exhibition, Chief Solomon moved from South America to Malta in Europe where he was inaugurated as a member of the Africa chapter of the European-Africa Art Exhibition under European Union in Malta.
After the exhibition, Chief Solomon then engaged in investment discussions with Dr. Maria Grech of Muscat Azzopardi & Associate and Mr. Chev Anthony C. Coleiro, Chairman, Enforcement Directorate of Malta Tourism Authority as well as other top European government officials .
On Wednesday, May 28, Chief Solomon moved from Malta to Paris, France for another African Art Exhibition where ‘Ojugo’ mask from Nsukka, Enugu State was displayed.
This art work known as ‘Ojugo’ was collected by some arts collectors who came to Nigeria many decades ago. According to President Solomon, the art works were so beautiful and elegant.
“In a very short period of time, I will put a date for the celebration of this great unexpected achievement from God,” Chief Solomon said when he returned to Nigeria.
