OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos has vowed to arrest any one parading himself as President Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos.

He states, in this interview, that the Consent Judgement in his favour validates his tenure till 2026.

Therefore, Chief Aguene argues, in the interview, that the deliberate attempts by some members of the socio cultural organization to play down the Consent Judgment is an assault on Nigeria’s justice system which must be resisted with the instruments of the law

Sir, despite the Consent Judgement that is in your favour by Lagos High court which nobody has vacated, someone is still parading himself as President of a faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos. How do you react to this?

Yes, I know about it. But that is contempt of court. It is very risky because the punishment is jail term.
Well, I have been holding myself back from taking action because we are all brothers from Igbo extraction.

But I have been patient enough. Enough is enough.

Just recently, Mike Ozuome, former chairman of all chairmen , Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos during the tenure of immediate past President Barrister Fabian Onwughalu, briefed me about how some impostors have come to tempt him with their small money including those who have not been able to eat three square meals a day but want to be Ohanaeze Ndigbo president after Chief Solomon Ogbonna either by hook or crook.

Ozuome told me how those impostors were giving him ideas of how to rubbish the Consent Judgement in the Force Criminal Investigation Department,FCID, Alagbon Annex, Lagos so that Police will not force them to court.
Ozuome stated that the impostors requested that he should work with Barrister Chukwudalu Nnalugha, the plaintiff’s lawyer to rubbish the Consent Judgement.

He told me that they said they have met Nnalugha’s co lawyer too, Barrister Ben. They complained that Barrister Ben does not understand the language. You know he is from Imo State because they don’t understand business of that level. But for Police, they know what they want. Once you hold money, you will win any case.

Ozuome said that he laughed because Barrister Chukwudalu Nnalugha is a man of integrity and his word is his bond. He cannot bring himself so low being a lawyer of many years and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The former Chairman of all chairmen, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos said that he doesn’t know whether those impostors are aware that President Solomon has a lawyer who has been coming to the court to defend him before we came together and had agreement to start the process of Consent Judgment.

He explained that the whole file is in the court according to the procedure until the Consent Judgment was given.

He emphasized that one can never get Consent Judgement without the two parties agreeing in principle.
He asked how possible someone can get a Consent judgement without being in the court with your opponent?
The questions the former chair of chair raised are just common questions for a lay man which indicated that it is obvious that people are ignorant.

Ozuome said how much are they going to give our Barrister, Nnalugha that he has never seen before that will warrant him to rubbish his integrity?

And Ozuome asked himself if what they were saying is possible without vacating the judgment for almost 3 years. Or do they think they can achieve result with media propaganda against High Court judgement?

Ozuome said to me that he asked himself “I don’t think they know that the current President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Chief John Azuta Mbata is a lawyer and a politician.

He is used to propaganda. He will not joke with a Consent Judgement with Certified True Copy, CTC.
Ozuome futher told me that these were some of the reasons he informed me as the President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos.

Ozuone further stated in his information that how he got to know that these people are not smart is because how can they say they impeached President Solomon who they say is not their President and that they don’t accept the Consent Judgement from High Court with CTC before they went to conduct a kangaroo election after many months the Consent Judgment was given?

Who is fooling who?

He reckoned that it is because of the money they will get and he demanded to know who is in possession of the over N50 million realized from the kangaroo election? Is it Enugu people or is it in the hands of individuals?

It is laughable. They should go and solve that problem first.

Ozuome said again that he made a silly mistake in the past and he regretted it when he wrote a letter and sent to one of the lawyers that he was tired of the Consent Judgement and that the way the impostors were crying on his neck that they will be in prison one day.

So, because he wanted to show to them that he also feels their anxiety of going to prison, he decided to write the letter even though he knows that consent judgement cannot be vacated or appeal after three years.

Ozuome stated that all these impostors blackmailing with propaganda in Lagos Ohanaeze against members especially someone like Chief Solomon who did more than any other President will not augur well with Ndigbo in Lagos leadership.

He said that was what he told one of them who is his friend. And some people foolishly don’t want to hear from the other side to know the truth.

Again, Ozuome said that he still went ahead to tell one of them who is also close to him that he will give all this information to President Solomon.

That one replied to him that “Chief Solomon is also my friend.” Ozuome always said to them as one of the plaintiffs who have been with Chief Solomon in the court for three and half years that propaganda cannot work and that the only option to bring peace is to let Chief Solomon complete his tenure.

Because as Chief Solomon is elected as President, we also have our President as a faction, chasing him in all his activities.

Nnamdi Nwigwe {Odenjinji} is our faction President. We inaugurated him same day Chief Solomon was inaugurated.
When we had issue with Nnamdi Nwigwe, we also inaugurated another President, retired Colonel Reuben Nwakwo, the same day.

So, we have dealt with President Solomon. Even without court judgement, they should allow President Solomon to complete his first tenure because he is not in second tenure. He is still on his first tenure based on when the court give judgement.

That is when his first tenure started. So, it is not second tenure. We should stop making that silly mistake by saying that his tenure has ended and he doesn’t want to leave the seat.

There is a question I, Ozuome as the plaintiff and chairman of all chairmen in the whole local government areas of Lagos used to ask them which nobody has answered till date: What if our faction that took Chief Solomon to court had won the case, Chief Solomon would have left the seat with shame, not minding all the good works he has done for Ndigbo.

Sometime, I ask myself: Why are they still dragging this case? Is it because Chief Solomon is from Ebonyi State?

Ozuome told me also that his belief is that any money giving to him by these impostors, he will eat it because it is for kola nut and nothing anybody can do about it because court has given judgement and it stands.

He said that funny enough, none of them remembered him until now that the thing is on their neck.
He equally said it is only me, President Solomon, that has been remembering him as chair of all chair for the past five to six years.

So, these are some of the information Ozuome told me. Some of them I cannot reveal them publicly.
But one other thing is that when the kangaroo election was conducted, the health condition of Professor George Obiozor, former President Ohanaeze Ndigbo world wide was bad and they did not tell him the truth.

They informed him that what I was holding was a Court Order and not Consent Judgement.

But when I met him and explained the true positing of things, the only thing he said to me was that he was deceived then and that when he got well, the problem will be very easy to solve if the judgment is authentic.

Secondly, when Chief Iwuanyanwu emerged as President General, he had no idea about anything in Lagos.
They were also feeding him with false information.

They did not tell him that there was another inaugurated President same day I was inaugurated.

According to one of the members of the faction, he told me that when they impeached their president, Chief Nnamdi Nwigwe {Odenjinji} for ‘eating’ the N5 million given to them by former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obianor, they then also inaugurated another person from the same Anambra as their President, retired Colonel Reuben Nwankwo who was also encountering every of my activities before governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State intervened. But what stopped Nwankwo finally was the Consent judgement given in my favour.

From there, the man handed off. So, the information Chief Iwuanyanwu was given in the video was wrong because he was not properly informed.

When the judgement was given newly, the immediate past president, Barrister Fabian Onwughalu told them that he was going to vacate the judgement within 7 days.

He also said that that judgement was like paper of bread. They hailed him and were all jumping up.
Fabain went as far as convincing people that came from Enugu headquarters that it will take him less than 7 days to vacate the judgement.

Some of them in Lagos were broadcasting that the judgement was even given by a Yoruba woman Judge at Lagos High Court and not an Igbo man Judge.
Some of them queried how a Judge from other tribe could settle Igbo case.
But the question I have been asking them is that: Are we in Igbo land?
So, if you are in Yoruba land, anything about you can be settled by a Yoruba Judge whether man or woman.

Now, we are getting to the end of violating judgment from a High Court because I have been slow in sending some people to prison especially Sunday Ossai who is parading himself as President in yam market, Ketu, Mile 12.

Why I ignored him up till now is because I know that he has health challenges. They just want to use him to extort money by those who feel that through him they will make lots of money from Lagos politics.

Anywhere they are seen holding meeting in the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, they will be arrested since they are accusing Police that once you give them money, they will turn the law of Nigeria upside down.

I know that someone is working towards back maria to one of the prisons in Lagos, no doubt.
And it will happen in no distant time because ignorance is not an excuse in law.

The person I respect so much is the current President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief John Mbata who some of these impostors said a year ago that the President General position can never go to Rivers State.

They were working towards installing Chief Iwuanyanwu for second tenure. But God knows the best.
No matter how someone is stupid, the person cannot think that Ohanaeze Ndigbo constitution is higher than Nigerian constitution.

If all the government officials with all their security and money are able to respect court judgement, why will the grassroots, who are struggling for three square meals, be holding naked wire by challenging High Court judgement?
