The 18th of October 2026 will remain a memorable milestone in the history of the family of Chief and Mrs Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, as we witnessed, with immense joy and gratitude to Almighty God, the successful conclusion of the traditional marriage rites of our precious daughter, Pharm. Nnenna Eunice Chukwuemeka-Eze, to her beloved husband, Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho, a worthy son of Imo State.
In a beautiful demonstration of our cherished cultural heritage, the marriage rites were formally and successfully concluded in the presence of family members, friends, well-wishers, and distinguished guests. The groom was accompanied by his father,, Prince Boniface Iheanacho and accompanied by Engr. Solomon Chukwuemeka, Mrs. Eunice Ejura Igwe, and other members of his entourage.
To the glory of Almighty God, all the traditional marriage rites, comprising Phases One, Two, and Three, were successfully completed in accordance with the customs and traditions of our beloved community.
The occasion, which many have described as unique and remarkable in the annals of our community, was celebrated with great joy, dignity, cultural splendour, and an impressive gathering of well-wishers.
It was not merely a marriage ceremony; it was a celebration of love, family unity, cultural identity, and the enduring bonds between two families from different communities.
As we reflect on the success of this memorable occasion, my heart is filled with profound gratitude to God and to everyone who contributed, directly or indirectly, to making it a resounding success.
I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman, elders, and entire members of the Umungwuta Family Union, UFU, Umuobuna, Uburu, for their impressive turnout, overwhelming support, and exemplary demonstration of family solidarity.
Your collective presence and enthusiastic participation in giving out our precious daughter in marriage to a worthy son-in-law, Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho, a respected prince and God-fearing gentleman from Imo State, brought immeasurable joy and honour to our family.
Your support reaffirmed the importance of family, unity, and the preservation of our cherished cultural values. We are deeply grateful that you stood with us to make this important chapter in our daughter’s life a truly memorable one.
May Almighty God continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us and bless the entire Umungwuta Family with peace, progress, and prosperity.
My special and profound appreciation goes to my beloved wife, Evang. Mrs Ada Chioma Henrietta Chukwuemeka-Eze, whose commitment, sacrifices, and tireless efforts contributed immensely to the success of this occasion.
My dear wife, you went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect to ensure that our daughter’s traditional marriage was celebrated with dignity, joy, and splendour. Your dedication, organisational efforts, and motherly love were truly remarkable.
I deeply appreciate everything you did, including the prayers and sacrifices that may not have been visible to everyone. May God reward you abundantly, strengthen you, and grant us many more joyful occasions to celebrate together as a family.
I also wish to express my sincere gratitude to the father of the groom, Prince Boniface Ihenacho, who demonstrated, in unmistakable terms, the dignity, responsibility, and commitment required of a father in giving his son out in marriage.
Your conduct, cooperation, and participation throughout the marriage process were commendable. We are delighted that this union has brought our two families and States together in love, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the happiness of our children.
We warmly welcome Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho into our family and assure him of our goodwill, prayers, and support as he begins this new chapter of his life with our beloved daughter, Eunice.
I would be remiss if I failed to specially acknowledge some distinguished individuals whose presence, contributions, encouragement, and support meant a great deal to us.
My heartfelt appreciation goes to my brother, Engr. Okorie Eze; Osuji Nwade Hyacinth, a former Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area; and my uncle, Elder Dennis Eze.
Your support and contributions are deeply appreciated. I do not take your goodwill, friendship, and solidarity for granted. May God continue to bless and honour you all.
To every relative, friend, community leader, well-wisher, and guest who attended the ceremony or contributed in any way towards its success, please accept our profound gratitude. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every material contribution, and every prayer added immeasurably to the success of the occasion.
We are sincerely grateful to all of you.
In the spirit of gratitude and family unity, I consider it appropriate to share the heartfelt message of appreciation sent to me by my son-in-law, Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho, following the successful conclusion of the traditional marriage rites.
His message reads:
“Good evening, Daddy.
I want to express my deep appreciation to you.
Thank you for the warm and honourable way you received my father and his entourage when we came to your village for the final marriage rites of your daughter. Your hospitality and the respect you accorded us mean a great deal to me and my family.
I also want to sincerely thank you and the entire Umungwuta Family for accepting me and for giving me the precious gift of your daughter, Eunice. By welcoming me into your family and entrusting me with her, you have shown me great kindness and trust. I do not take this privilege lightly.
I am truly grateful for the love and acceptance you have extended to me. May God continue to bless you and the Umungwuta Family richly.
God bless you, Sir.”
— Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho
This touching message is a testament to the mutual respect, love, and understanding that have characterised the relationship between our families. We are delighted to welcome him into our fold and pray that the love and respect demonstrated during this occasion will continue to flourish throughout their married life.
As our daughter, Pharm. Nnenna Eunice Chukwuemeka-Eze, and her husband, Prince Chijioke B. Ihenacho, embark on this beautiful journey of matrimony, I commit their union into the hands of Almighty God.
May God bless their home with enduring love, peace, understanding, faithfulness, good health, fruitfulness, and prosperity. May He grant them the wisdom to navigate the challenges of marriage, the patience to understand each other, the grace to forgive one another, and the strength to remain united through every season of life.
May their home become a sanctuary of love, mutual respect, and godliness. May their union bring joy to both families, and may their love grow stronger with each passing year.
I also pray that Almighty God will richly reward everyone who contributed to the success of this occasion. May your kindness return to you in greater measure, and may your homes never lack reasons to celebrate.
While expressing my profound gratitude to everyone who celebrated with us, I must also acknowledge an important matter that weighs on my heart.
I am conscious that several dear friends, relatives, associates, and well-wishers whom I ought to have invited to this epoch-making family occasion were unfortunately not invited. I fully understand that some of you may feel disappointed, offended, or even aggrieved by this omission. Frankly, I cannot fault you for feeling that way.
Please accept my most sincere apologies.
The omission was never intended to suggest that I do not value your friendship, relationship, goodwill, or contributions to my life and family. I hold you in high esteem, and I deeply regret that I could not extend an invitation to you on this occasion.
I humbly appeal to you to find a place in your hearts to forgive me. I sincerely regret this oversight and assure you that I will be more mindful of such matters in the future.
Our daughter’s forthcoming church wedding, which will take place in Abuja, will provide another opportunity for us to come together in celebration. As soon as the date is finalised, the necessary information will be communicated, and I look forward to celebrating with you on that occasion.
Once again, please accept my heartfelt apologies and assurances of my continued respect and appreciation.
Ultimately, the success of this traditional marriage is a testimony to the goodness and faithfulness of Almighty God. From the beginning of the preparations to the successful conclusion of the traditional rites, His grace sustained us, and His blessings were evident throughout the occasion.
To God alone be all the glory!
To my beloved daughter and her husband, congratulations once again. May your marriage be blessed beyond measure.
To our families, friends, elders, associates, and well-wishers, thank you for standing with us. Your love and support have made this occasion an unforgettable chapter in our family’s history.
May Almighty God bless you all abundantly.
Thank you, and may God bless us all.
