CDHR Condemns Sponsored BBC Report Against Late T. B Joshua, Describes It As Malicious, Defaming

CDHR Condemns Sponsored BBC Report

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, has issued a statement condemning British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC documentary on late Prophet TB Joshua, founder, Synangogue Church of All Nations.

The CDHR statement jointly signed by Comrade Debo Adeniran, National President, CDHR Nigeria and Comrade Idris Afees Olayinka, National Publicity Secretary, CDHR Nigeria, is reproduced below

On Monday 8th January 2024, The Punch online published a documentary credited to BBC on the Late T. B. Joshua titled “TB Joshua enslaved Westerners, other disciples”.

The documentary has no fewer than 25 eyewitness testimonials including one Agomoh Paul, who said that TB Joshua was interested in enslaving not just Africans but also Westerners and targeted them with miracles.
Speaking to the BBC’s Africa Eye,

Paul noted that he was very close to the late prophet and i was just like the number two in the synagogue church of all nations. There are certain things he told me personally that I know many of the disciples never knew.

CDHR condems in totality the stories in the documentary. The organisation describes it as false, malicious and defaming. It was a sponsored documentary aimed to diminish the ever green humanitarian and doctrinal legacies of the Joshua

The documentary lacks objectivity and can only damage the large heart of people with humanitarian legacies around the globe. Mr. Paul Agomoh can settled his scores with the late family of Joshua if any rather than resulted to cheap blackmail using media outfits.

The law of the land gives everyone the rights to practice what he or she believes.

The late T B Joshua wouldn’t have coerced anyone to join his congregation nor accept his teachings, his followers believes in him and reserves the right to do so.

He didn’t forced people to part with their belongings to him or broken into their homes to extort them. Attending his place of worship was a delibrate choice of his disciples.

Torture and rape are crimes against humanity just as fakery and extortion are corruption and financial crimes. All of these crimes couldn’t have been committed in an open environment where the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) operated and still operates.

Many similar cases leveled against the church and its founder turned out to be spurious and malicious when TB Joshua was alive.

It is therefore imperative for the BBC to work on facts and figures and not emotions to the extent of reopen dead and buried wounds after years that the progenitor of the establishment is dead and buried? Such misleading reports is capable of diminish the integrity BBC as a world class media organisation.
