Boko Haram abduct top government officials in Borno

At least five top officials of the Borno State Ministry of Works have been abducted by Boko Haram terrorists.

The officials were kidnapped on Wednesday, December 1 while supervising ongoing construction of Chibok-Damboa road.

The incident happened near Wovi, a remote village in Chibok Local Government Area.

Openlife understands that one of the abductees, a driver, managed to escape unhurt.

Hon Architect Yerima Saleh, who is the commissioner of works in the state, confirmed the incident.
