<h4>Bode George Quries Nyesom Wike<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party&comma; PDP&comma; Chief Olabode George&comma; has queried the statement credited to former Rivers State governor&comma; Nyesom Wike&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A statement was credited to have been made by Wike to the effect that he sought the permission of some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party&comma;PDP&comma; before accepting the ministerial offer from President Bola Tinubu&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Wike who responded to the criticisms at his first press briefing as a minister explained that before accepting the ministerial appointment&comma; he wrote letters to Acting National Chairman of PDP&comma; Umar Damagun&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;thecable&period;ng&sol;">Wike maintained that he also wrote  incumbent governor of Rivers State&comma; Siminalayi Fubara and Minority Leaders in the Senate and House of Representatives&comma; seeking their permission to accept the offer&period;<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He said all the leaders of the PDP which he sought their permission responded by granting him the permission to accept the ministerial offer&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>But reacting on Thursday afternoon on Arise TV&comma; Bode Goerge&comma; 77 who became a Commodore in the Nigerian navy and was appointed Military Governor of Ondo State between 1988 and 1990&comma; said he was not aware of the written permission of Nyesom Wike&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He requested a proof of evidence of the written permission and approval from the PDP hierarchy from Nyesom Wike&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;If he said he wrote a letter&comma; did they ask him to go ahead&quest; I don’t know anything about permission&comma; ” the former PDP deputy national chairman&comma; South&comma; stated&comma; stressing further that proof of evidence is important in such matter&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;21517" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-21517" style&equals;"width&colon; 300px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignnone"><img class&equals;"size-medium wp-image-21517" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2023&sol;07&sol;Freedom--300x202&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Bode George Quries Nyesom Wike" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"202" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-21517" class&equals;"wp-caption-text"><em><strong>Chief Bode George&comma; queries Wike<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;
