Beyoncé Breaks 51 Years Jinx
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Beyoncé, 43, an American singer, songwriter, and businesswoman, has broken another record.
At the 67th Grammy Awards, which held Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, the wife of Jay-Z, another successful American rapper, became the first Black woman to win a country Grammy in more than 50 years.
The Texas born mother of three took home the win for best country album for “Cowboy Carter.”
Records have it that the last time a Black woman won a country award at the Grammys was the Pointer Sisters in 1974.
Born on September 4, 1981, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has had a significant impact on the music industry and is known for her vocal ability, musical versatility, live performances, and culturally important works.
Beyoncé is also credited with changing how music is recorded and released in the digital age, popularizing unconventional rollouts and reviving the industry.
