Barrister Salami Tajudeen Aghaje, Others Emerge Excos In Newly Created Surulere NBA Branch

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Barrister Salami Tajudeen Aghaje and many others have emerged as executives in the newly created Nigerian Bar Association, Surulere Branch.

The maiden election held last Friday, July 12, 2024 at the branch secretariat, located at No.14 Babatunde Street, off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos State.

The election was conducted by the Caretaker Committee of the new Branch which doubled as the Electoral Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr.Adeleke Agboola SAN.

The election, according to information, was hitch-free, seamless and successful.

At the end of the voting, Barrister Anene Nwadukwe emerged as Chairman of the branch with Barrister Henry Obinna Ezeanyim as the Vice-Chairman.

To serve as the Secretary, Barrister Enomma Umoren Mbanugo was elected while Barrister Raqeeba Oloko would function as an Assistant Secretary.

Barrister Salami Tajudeen Aghaje got elected as Financial Secretary while Barrister Maureen Ogochukwu Umejiego was elected as Treasurer.

Others were Barrister Felicia Chikere Nosike as Welfare Secretary and Barrister Okuwobi Olusela Mayowa as Publicity Secretary.

The newly elected exco list inludes Barrister Florence Elwutasi Chajioke Daru as Social Secretary and Barrister Kingsley Enim Ehimar as Provost.

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee who doubled as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee thanked NBA Surulere Branch electorate for their co-operation in the peaceful conduct of the election.

He congratulated the winners and urged them to be magnanimous in victory.

He equally appreciated the losers for their gallantry in loss, noting that failure is a postponed success.

Mr. Agboola further thanked the erstwhile Surulere Lawyers’ Forum for a smooth transition from a forum to a Branch which culminated in the election.

He wished the new NBA Surulere Branch Executives a very successful and impactful tenure.

2. Jane Asim-Ita Eng- Secretary
3. His Honor Rosemary Akinbo(Rtd)- Member
4. Chuks Collins Adimonye Esq.- Member
5.Peter Ozobialu Esq- Member.

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee,Mr.Adeleke Agbola SAN,on behalf of the Committee,also thanked the President of Nigerian Bar Association,Chonoko Maikyau SAN,for the wonderful opportunity given to the Committee to serve NBA National in that capacity.
