Bandits bomb train conveying ex senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, has escaped death after the train he boarded ran over an explosive.

The incident subsequently ‘damaged Kaduna-Abuja rail track’. According to Sani, “it took a miracle for us to escape”.

Sani stated this on his verified Twitter handle. He claimed that similar incident occurred on Wednesday.

Yesterday, terrorists attacked the Kaduna Abuja railway with an explosive & opened fire on the train, targeting the Engine Driver & the Tank. This morning, I was on board when our train ran over another explosive damaged rail track. It took a miracle for us to escape,” Sani wrote.

This development is coming at a time the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) announced that it would reduce the number of trips on the Abuja-Kaduna route (from October 19 to October 21).
