Atiku’s Sack: ADC Chieftain, Chief Eze Dismisses Judgement As Mere Drama, Hints On What To Expect In The Days Ahead

Atiku’s Sack

OpenLife News reports that following Thursday’s judgement by Federal High Court in Abuja, sacking the Senator David Mark led National Working Committee, NWC, of the Action Democratic Congress, ADC, a chieftain of the party, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has dismissed the judgement, describing it as “ mere drama” that cannot stop Atiku Abubakar from being on the ballot on January 16, 2027.

“There is no cause for alarm. There is no reason to panic. Atiku Abubakar is still in the race, and he will be on the ballot,” are part of the powerful assurances from Chief Eze.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had sacked the Senator David Mark-led executives of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and invalidated all actions they took on behalf of the party.

The actions included the nomination of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Atiku, whose name was earlier published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a candidate for the presidential poll, has since chosen former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, as his running mate.

However, in a judgment delivered on Thursday by Justice Peter Lifu, the court declared illegal the Senator Mark-led Caretaker Committee of the ADC, which organised the primary election that produced Atiku as the party’s presidential flag bearer.

The court found merit in a suit brought before it by the aggrieved former National Deputy Chairman (North-East) of the party, Nafiu Bala Gombe.

Gombe had approached the court to query the process through which the Senator Mark-led Committee took over the reins of leadership of the party.

He maintained that, with the resignation of the former National Chairman, Chief Ralph Nwosu, he (Gombe) was qualified to assume the party’s leadership.

Consequently, he, among other things, prayed the court to nullify all actions taken on behalf of the party by the Senator Mark-led leadership.

Listed as defendants in the suit, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025, were the ADC, INEC, Senator Mark, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Chief Ralph Nwosu.

The plaintiff further urged the court to restrain Senator Mark and Aregbesola from parading themselves as National Chairman and Secretary, respectively, of the ADC, insisting that their emergence violated the party’s constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

The court upheld the plaintiff’s claim and granted his reliefs, a verdict that could spark a chain of reactions in the polity, with the presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2027.

The development, however, comes barely 24 hours after the party’s candidate, Atiku, held a massive rally in Sokoto State as part of his campaign for the 2027 presidential election.

Eze Speaks: “Our supporters should not get worried about this development. It is just a storm in a tea cup. This judgement means nothing,” he assured.

But in a thunderous reaction that has calmed nerves across the ADC family, Chief Eze said Justice Peter Lifu’s sacking of the David Mark-led ADC leadership and voiding of Atiku’s presidential ticket doesn’t make any meaning as it will be appealed accordingly.

According to Eze, nobody should disturb himself or herself, because the ADC leadership is fully aware of the conspiracy.

Let me counsel that nobody should disturb himself or herself as the ADC leadership is fully aware of the conspiracy by Tinubu and APC Leadership in their sponsorship of Gombe in this futile journey, Eze said.

Eze maintained that Tinubu and APC leadership, knowing very well that they have been rejected by Nigerians, have to resort to the court for this sinister act of frustrating the opposition political parties from uniting to ease them peacefully from power but  they don’t know what awaits them come 2027. “Atiku and Amaechi will be on the ballot and will surely win,” he stated.

In the most reassuring part of his statement, Eze declared boldly that no matter the odds, both Atiku and Amaechi will be in the ballot and will surely win the 2027 general elections.

He urged Nigerians and the International Community not to be disturbed over this drama, describing it as just an act of a drowning group knowing very well that they can’t continue to ruin this country while we watch them.

“Let me therefore urge Nigerians and the International Community not to be disturbed over this drama as this is just an act of a drowning Group knowing very well that they can’t continue to ruin this country while we watch them,” Eze assured.

He addd that the ADC is on a Rescue Mission and by the Grace of God, it will surely rescue this country from this fascist leadership that don’t care in any way of the level of hunger and poverty and insecurity they have placed on us all.

What To Expect In The Days Ahead

Chief Eze hinted that the days ahead will be decisive:

1. Immediate Appeal: The ADC will file a strong appeal at the Court of Appeal to set aside the judgement.

2. Atiku Campaign Continues: The Sokoto momentum will not stop. Atiku and Amaechi will continue to tour Nigeria.

3. Opposition Unity Gets Stronger: The attempt to scatter the opposition will rather unite them the more.4. Victory In 2027: Despite the court drama, Eze insists the rescue mission is unstoppable.

For supporters of Atiku, the message from Eze is clear: Relax. The ticket is safe. The mission is alive. And 2027 is already written.
