OpenLife Nigeria reports that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 general elections has renewed conversation with Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party in the same 2023 election.
Insiders aver that the renewed interest on Peter Obi on the occasion of the Labour Party flagbearer,s 61st birthday is a function of Atiku’s democratic credentials devoid of bitterness and hatred.
The conversation which was obtained by OpenLife for Atiku’s Facebook wall dwelt essentially on best birthday wishes.
In the message, Atiku describes Obi, who was his running mate in 2019 presidential election, as his friend.
He prayed for more healthy years for the former Anambra State governor.
A close associate of Atiku who confided in OpenLife Tuesday morning noted that “That is a another fresh negotiation with Obi. Atiku is not relenting. The card on the table is that he would hand over to Obi after a tenure. He is a democrat and not leaving any stone unturned. But it is left for Obi to accept or not,” the ex Reps member disclosed.
Atiku’s message to Obi reads in full:
“On behalf of my family, I wish my good friend, presidential candidate of the LP, and former Governor of Anambra State, H.E Peter Obi, a memorable 61st birthday celebration. I wish you many more years in good health and vitality.”
