APC Investment: Buhari Settles Tinubu With 5G License

<p><em>APC Investment<&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> has reliably gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari&comma; President federal republic of Nigeria&comma; obviously sensing the heated momentum hovering around the country as a result of 2023 presidential interest&comma; may have decided to settle Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a lucrative 5G license&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Tinubu&comma; former governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007 is believed to have been the single highest investor during and after the formation of the ruling All Progressives Congress&comma; APC&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The ruling party was formed by three political parties in 2014&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;It subsequently won the 2015 presidential contest through deft political strategies orchestrated by Tinubu&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Since then&comma; Tinubu has not hidden his interest to occupy the number one seat in the land&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Recent book launch&comma; an autobiography by former Osun State governor&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;">Chief Bisi Akande<&sol;a>&comma; unearthed more than before&comma; Tinubu’s long-time struggle for a presidential seat either as a president or Vice President&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Conscious of this move&comma; Buhari&comma; according to credible sources has decided to settle Tinubu with a 5G license&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;To achieve this&comma; the federal government through the Nigerian Communications Commission&comma; NCC&comma; Monday&comma; auctioned two licences of fifth-generation &lpar;5G&rpar; networks&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;MAFAB Communications Limited challenged MTN Nigeria and Airtel Nigeria in the auction&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In a twist of event&comma; Airtel Nigeria&comma; a top telecom company&comma; dropped out of the race as the 5G spectrum reached &dollar;275&period;9 million at the 11th round&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;NCC conducted the 5G spectrum auction with a reserve price of &dollar;197&period;4 million for two lots of spectrum in the 3&period;5GHz band&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Mafab later emerged as the second winner of the 5G licence at the assignment stage and federal government made &dollar;547 million from the deal&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Mafab Communications was incorporated on the 8th of July&comma; 2020&comma; and licensed by the NCC to provide and operate Local Interconnect and International carrier services&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The company operates under three licenses&comma; including interconnecting exchange&comma; international data access&comma; and value-added services&comma; providing cloud hosting or co-location services&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Mafab is one of the technological subsidiaries of Althani Group&comma; a business conglomerate chaired by Musbahu Muhammad Bashir&comma; a business tycoon&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;On the board&comma; according to credible information is Colonel Sami Sanni&comma; Ret’d&comma; former military governor of Kano State and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu&comma; an APC chieftain&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In a brief interview with OpenLife Wednesday morning&comma; an APC chieftain who is very close to the Presidency revealed that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The G5 license is a compensation for Tinubu&period; He has done so much for APC but he cannot be allowed to pick APC presidential ticket&period; Buhari is not considering him at all as a successor&comma;” he disclosed in confidence&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Meanwhile&comma; MAFAB Communications&comma; according to a credible source&comma; has begun plans to launch a Greenfield mobile network operator&comma; MNO&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;This has necessitated preliminary discussions with leading Chinese and United States of America ICT equipment suppliers&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;According to the source&comma; MAFAB Communications is expected to deepen local contents&comma; job creations as well as enhance service delivery when fully operational from 2022&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;

Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
