Anu  Paternity Saga Takes New Turn

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the ongoing paternity controversy involving Nigerian music superstar Davido has taken a dramatic new twist after a man surfaced online claiming to be the biological father of the child at the center of the dispute.

In a video that has since gone viral, the man—who described himself as Davido’s lookalike and “twin”—asserted that the singer is not responsible for the child, Anu Adeleke.

According to him, the child’s mother, Ayotomide Labinjoh, mistakenly assumed Davido was the father due to their striking resemblance.

“I am Anu’s real father. I have to confess, it’s not Davido. The baby mama thought it was Davido because we look alike.”

The clip quickly ignited widespread reactions across social media platforms.

BACKGROUND: HOW THE DNA SAGA BEGAN

The controversy gained renewed attention after Anu took to Instagram about a week earlier, appealing for a DNA test to confirm her identity.

She opened up about the emotional toll the situation had taken on her, revealing that she had faced bullying and ridicule from classmates over her claim of being Davido’s daughter.

DAVIDO DENIES PATERNITY, CITES MULTIPLE DNA TESTS

In response to Anu’s post, Davido firmly denied being her father.

He stated that he had already undergone five DNA tests in the past, all of which reportedly ruled him out as the child’s biological parent.

The singer expressed deep frustration over the recurring allegations and threatened legal action against Anu’s mother, insisting that she should be held accountable for the situation.

ANU AND HER MOTHER FIRE BACK

Reacting to Davido’s response, Anu said she was deeply hurt by what she described as bullying, verbal attacks, and threats directed at her and her mother.

She claimed the singer had never met her mother but was publicly insulting her and asserting that he had conducted multiple DNA tests involving her.

Backing her daughter, Anu’s mother later shared screenshots of alleged conversations between Anu and Davido.

She accused the singer of ignoring them for years based on assumptions he made about her background.

She also called for an independent and transparent DNA test, urging the US State Department to liaise with officials in Lagos or Abuja to supervise the process.

ADEDEJI ADELEKE ADDRESSES THE CONTROVERSY

Davido’s father, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, also stepped into the matter by holding a press briefing to clarify his family’s position.

He maintained that Anu is not his granddaughter and referenced DNA tests he said had already been conducted in the past.

He further accused investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo of impersonating the minor online to attack Davido and disclosed plans to pursue legal action.

DAVIDO REACTS AFTER FATHER’S INTERVENTION

Following his father’s public statement, Davido took to his Instagram story to express gratitude, thanking Adedeji Adeleke for stepping in and “clearing the air” on the long-running controversy.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the Davido paternity saga has once again captured public attention, highlighting the complex intersection of celebrity, social media, and deeply personal family matters.

With conflicting claims, viral allegations, and legal threats now in play, the situation underscores the need for transparency, restraint, and a credible resolution process. Until an independently supervised DNA test brings final clarity, the story remains unresolved  fueling debate, speculation, and intense public scrutiny both online and beyond.
