Anita Okoye Hails Paul For Showing Up Big For Daughter

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Anita Okoye is all smiles after her ex-husband, Paul Okoye, made a special effort for their daughter, Nadia.

The singer, currently in Atlanta where Anita and Nadia live, attended a daddy-daughter dance a moment fans couldn’t help but swoon over when he shared a video of them dancing.

Anita opened up on Instagram, explaining that last year Nadia couldn’t attend the event, which broke her little heart. This year, she had just one request for Paul:

“This year, I made one simple request… SHOW UP FOR HER!
That was it. No drama. No extras. Just SHOW UP!”
Nadia had already braced herself for the possibility her dad might not come:
“Nadia, determined as ever, told me, ‘Mama, buy the ticket. If my dad can’t make it, you’re coming with me, and we’re going to have fun.’

She picked her dress, styled me in a blazer (because apparently I needed direction ), and was ready either way.”
But behind the scenes, Anita had been secretly coordinating with Paul for months.

“What she didn’t know… I was quietly coordinating with her dad behind the scenes for MONTHS. I was anxious. I prayed. I released it to God.
And then he texted, ‘I’M HERE.’”

The proud mother of three reflected on the power of putting children first: when parents lead with love, God honors it in ways they couldn’t plan. For Nadia, it’s a memory she’ll cherish forever.
