Angela Okorie Apologises To Mercy Johnson After Feud

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly reached out to Mercy Johnson and her family with a sincere apology, following a period of tension and controversy in the industry.

The apology comes after her release from detention and marks a step toward reconciliation and peace.

In a candid video message, Angela reflected on how past misunderstandings and industry gossip contributed to conflict. She shared her thoughts on growing older and choosing not to dwell on negativity:

“I’m not a perfect being. So, this video is specifically for Mercy Johnson and her kids, family. You know, when you are getting older, a lot of this will leave you.
When we were growing in the industry a lot of gossips, people will come and meet me and told me Mercy said, and go and meet Mercy and told her Angela said. At this age, this is not what I want for myself… I no longer listen to those cheap gossips.”
Angela also addressed the false narratives circulating about Mercy Johnson, clearing up misconceptions:

“I’m really sorry, Mercy Johnson, please forgive me, if it’s my words but verbal or written on social media, I’m sorry. You are not a witch, you are not what people are calling you.”

She expressed concern about the impact her past actions may have had on Mercy Johnson’s children:

“This is just to say I’m sorry. We don’t know where our kids are going to meet tomorrow. I don’t like why your kids are being bullied in school, if I’m the one too I wouldn’t take it. This is me saying I’m deeply sorry.”

Angela emphasized that their friendship remains important to her:
“You are still my friend, and if I hear anything I don’t like, I will call you to inform you. I’m very sorry, sorry.”

In closing, Angela extended her apology to anyone else she may have offended, describing the moment as a new beginning.

Her public message highlights a journey from misunderstanding to accountability, showing her desire to make amends and embrace positivity in her personal and professional life.
