OpenLife Nigeria reports that following the discovery of sack load Permanent Voters Card, PVC in a forest in Anambra State by hunters, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Thursday, revealed the actual number of PVCs that have been collected.
A yet-to-be-identified hunter found the bag in the forest and subsequently took it to the premises of a radio station, Authority FM.
The Anambra Police Command on Wednesday ordered an investigation to unravel the circumstances behind the discovery of the bag full of Permanent Voter Cards in the Akamili community forest
However, in what seems a reaction, INEC has said 87,209,007 permanent voter cards (PVC) have been collected across the country.
Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairperson, announced the development on Thursday during a media briefing at the national collation centre in Abuja.
